What a class looks like

Why we started this

Every parent wants the same few things. A child who is happy, confident, kind, and rooted deeply enough that flying high doesn’t break them.

But nobody is teaching that now. Not the school, not the phone, not the city. And our children’s grandparents mostly can’t, because nobody told them either.

So we learn it too, and we teach it together.

Start your own Sanatan Pathshala

In your home. In your community. With the families around you.

A pathshala is a small school: a few children learning together, usually in someone’s home. You don’t need a building, a licence, or twenty years of study. You need four families and a Sunday morning. We give you the curriculum, the worksheets, the training and someone to call when you’re stuck.

Acharya means teacher. A parent is already a teacher.

There is nothing to sign up to yet. The weekly email is the only list we keep.

Before you start

Questions parents ask

Answered here the way we would answer them on the phone. Where something is not settled yet (the written privacy policy, for one) we say so instead of dressing it up.

Your child’s data

You hold the account, not your child. You can see everything we hold about your family and ask for it to be deleted, from your own settings.

We build to two laws. India’s DPDP Act, which makes a child’s data the parent’s to control, and America’s COPPA, which says the same for children under thirteen.

Still not answered

The full privacy policy is still being written. The privacy page says so too. Until it is published, and for anything these questions do not answer, ask us and you will get a plain answer.

Are classes live or recorded?

Live every week, and every class is recorded for you.

What does it cost?

The sheets you can print tonight are free. Everything taught live is paid (a workshop is one session, a course runs over weeks) and each one carries its own price, on its own page, in your own money. The printable packs in the shop are their own catalogue: free and paid sit in one list there, and each pack carries its price on its own page. Where a course opens with a free preview lesson, you can watch that lesson before you decide anything. A camp in Braj is booked with a deposit, and the balance falls due before you travel.

What age should we start?

From 0. The 0–5 tier is taught to you, and you teach the child.

Do I need to know anything myself?

No. Most parents start knowing very little. That is the point.

What if we miss a class?

The recording is in your account the same day.

Which timezone are classes in?

Several, so families abroad can join at a sensible hour.

Is it safe for my child online?

Small groups, known teachers, and the account is controlled by you.

Do you follow a particular sampradaya (tradition)?

No. This is Sanatana. Every family is welcome.
